1) Why is it called a "Notescast"?

 

The name "Notescast" comes from the fact that Notescasts and their wealth of interactive information install to the iPod Notes feature Apple includes with nearly every iPod sold today.  You'll find the "Notes" feature by going to your iPod's Main Menu, selecting "Extras" and then selecting "Notes."


As mobile marketing has expanded to the iPhone and iPod touch, as well as Smartphones, the term Notescast has carried over to these devices, as well.

2) How many pages are in a typical Notescast title?

 

Your Notescast title can contain almost any number of pages, from something as simple as perhaps only a few pages to describe your products and services to hundreds of pages, which can include product, service and event descriptions, event schedules, personnel information, merchandise catalogs, maps and more, each linked to corresponding photos and video.

 

Many in-depth Notescast titles are between 50 to 150 Notescast pages and contain 50 to 200 photos, though we have also developed some great Notescast titles with as few as 20 pages.

3) Are there three different kinds of Notescasts?  One for the iPod Classic and iPod nano, and another for the iPhone and iPod touch, as well as Smartphones?

 

Yes, there are.  The Notescast development process for the iPod Classic and iPod nano is different than that used for the iPhone and iPod touch and Smartphones.  In addition, the distribution process is different.  Notescasts for the iPod Classic and iPod nano are distributed via downloads from your web site, and Notescasts for the iPhone and iPod touch are distributed via the Apple App Store, while Notescasts for Android powered Smartphones are distributed via the Android Market.

Notescasts may be developed for one or all three of these mobile devices.

4) Does my Notescast title require Internet access to work?


No, it doesn't.


Your own custom Notescast title extends your marketing and sales message deep into your customers' mobile lives where it's always available at their fingertips on their iPods, iPhones or Smartphones wherever they go and whenever they want, even when they're well out of range of a cell phone signal or Internet access.    


5) How do we keep our Notescast title updated?

 

After your initial Notescast title is completed, simply contact TimeStream Software to create updates which cover new products or services, price changes, new events, etc.  These small changes will be developed by TimeStream Software and added to the previously created Notescast Master File and returned to you as one newly updated Master File ready to be posted on your web site, Android Market or App Store.  It’s that easy.   Contact us for more information.

 

6) How long does it take to create a Notescast title?

 

The lead time for a first draft of a fully tested and installable 50 to 200 page Notescast title is a matter of only weeks, perhaps 2 to 3.  Our goal is to provide you with a fully linked and tested title for your review and initial feedback as soon as possible, and we welcome your comments and feedback upon its receipt, as it is important for us to create a title which is 100% on target with your needs, as well as those of your customers.
